Epson Stylus cx7400

I read on my yahoo page that you can "stretch" your ink usage, by covering some type of ink sensor (?) in your printer/cartridge with dark tape...can I do this on mine? If so, where do I place the tape, to "trick" my printer into thinking there's enough ink in it? Thanks for any and all responses!

There is not any sensor to cover up. The ink cartridge has a chip on it. Read your owners manual. It will explain the various print settings. Some print settings use less ink than others.
