I have a Xerox Phaser 3450 that had a really nasty jam in the back of the printer near the fuser. After removing all of the paper (even the bits), each time I print, the printer prints and the paper makes it halfway out of the fuser and stops. I removed the fuser and noticed that the bottom roller (the pressure roller) had a couple small tears. Is it possible this new jam is coming from the small tears in the pressure roller? Each time I print, the paper stops at the same point. I just wanted to get others' opinions before I go purchase a new fuser assembly.
I replaced the fuser assembly and it works now. It seems like if the film on one of the rollers is even slightly damaged (like a small scuff or tear), this will prevent the paper from smoothly rolling out.
